Yep, I'm 42! I had a super fun birthday weekend, and we were even lucky enough to be treated with a visit by Darin's parents - Jerry and Carolyn. Like everyone else in Wenatchee, we headed the hell out of town and for us, it was my new favorite place - North Bend! I love me some GAP outlet shopping! Otherwise, we pretty much spent most of our time inside hanging out and trying to stay out of the darn smoke. E had a super time playing with Grandma and Grandpa, and we can't wait to see them again soon!

10 on 10 (sort of)
Here's my first go with 10 on 10, and guess what - I didn't really stick to the one picture an hour rule. I took that as more of a "suggestion" and just went with the flow. (I am a good rule follower, but only when I want to be!) So since I wasn't into following rules yesterday, I ended up with 9 pictures in however many hours.
Early morning snuggling. My favorite toy (seriously, I love that dinosaur!). Mid-morning snack. Naptime (2.5 hours hooray!). Outside playtime. Chelan County Fair - my quilts won blue ribbons! Eric LOVES tractors. Concentration. Downtime.

Going for the Gold!
For the last several years, I've not been able to put a quilt in the Chelan County Fair because I've always been working the weekend of the fair. (No whining here, the "working" was always a weekend at a very nice resort, and Darin would go with!) Anyway, this year, no such event, so...Chelan Co Fair here I come! SWEET! Watch out old ladies - my quilts are good!
Here are the two beauties that I'm going to put up for judging. It costs $10 to enter a quilt, but the only other time I've put a quilt in the fair I won a blue ribbon AND $2.25! So, if I'm lucky enough to win two blue ribbons, I'll be $5 richer. (I plan to have DK pay my entry fees, so my winnings will be pure profit baby!)

Well poop, now that I think about it the green star quilt was made by Nicke, so...technically, if I win for that quilt, I should PROBABLY give her the $$$. Hmmm....maybe I'll arm wrestle her for it.
I have my quilting blue ribbon hanging on the fridge right by my blue ribbons for winning my age group in the Over the Damn and Saul Gallegos runs - what a combination - makes me giggle!

Baseball Night
We took E to the CWH baseball night to watch the Wenatchee AppleSox play some other baseball team. Darin and I didn't really watch the game and spent most of the time chasing the little kiddo around, so I have no idea who the other team even was! What I do know....I do know that we were in white and they were in blue, and all of the players looked a whole hella lot younger than me!
E really had a super fun time running around. It's incredible watching him grow up and discover the world. My favorite thing about this picture - he's got a rock in one hand and car in the other. He's such a kick!

Devoted, Stubborn, and Baying
Another weekend's gone by, and another weekend trip to the vet taking in Ben for his most recent ailments. Nothing big thankfully, just all those things that come with having a lot of loose skin and long, hanging ears. At the vet, he's called "Mr. Ben."
The greatest thing about all of my trips with Ben to the vet is that now I qualify for express checkout! I don't have to pay when I leave - they just call me later! That's pretty cool and a real time saver. I wish they had punch cards - like a free latte after 10 visits. I'll have to mention that this weekend.

Ben really is a super dog. He's in love with everyone, he's super funny and super stubborn, he's very good hearted, he's sensitive and gentle and because he gets his feelings hurt easily, we have to be careful about scolding. His baying is the most adorable kind of dog barking. We have a neighbor that walks by the house to hear him bay, especially when they have family visiting - so funny! He likes hanging out inside with the fam, and we just love our big, slobbery, goofball hound dog!

4th of July!
So even though I actually remembered to pack my camera, I didn't remember to use it all that often. At least I'm half way there - maybe next time I'll remember to use it too! Either way, it was a fun trip and we had a great time getting caught up with family. The final day of our vaca was spent lounging around at home. We can't wait to go back!
