Going for the Gold!

For the last several years, I've not been able to put a quilt in the Chelan County Fair because I've always been working the weekend of the fair.  (No whining here, the "working" was always a weekend at a very nice resort, and Darin would go with!)  Anyway, this year, no such event, so...Chelan Co Fair here I come!  SWEET!  Watch out old ladies - my quilts are good!

Here are the two beauties that I'm going to put up for judging.  It costs $10 to enter a quilt, but the only other time I've put a quilt in the fair I won a blue ribbon AND $2.25!  So, if I'm lucky enough to win two blue ribbons, I'll be $5 richer.  (I plan to have DK pay my entry fees, so my winnings will be pure profit baby!)
Ok - I'm putting this quilt up for judging - not Eric!

Well poop, now that I think about it the green star quilt was made by Nicke, so...technically, if I win for that quilt, I should PROBABLY give her the $$$.  Hmmm....maybe I'll arm wrestle her for it.
I have my quilting blue ribbon hanging on the fridge right by my blue ribbons for winning my age group in the Over the Damn and Saul Gallegos runs - what a combination - makes me giggle!

Baseball Night

We took E to the CWH baseball night to watch the Wenatchee AppleSox play some other baseball team.  Darin and I didn't really watch the game and spent most of the time chasing the little kiddo around, so I have no idea who the other team even was!  What I do know....I do know that we were in white and they were in blue, and all of the players looked a whole hella lot younger than me!
E really had a super fun time running around.  It's incredible watching him grow up and discover the world.  My favorite thing about this picture - he's got a rock in one hand and car in the other.  He's such a kick!
