Weekend Update

Still staying out of the smoke......have I mentioned that I'VE HAD IT WITH THE SMOKE......gggrrrrrrr!!!

Norton Family Visit

Last month, the Norton family drove up for a quick visit, and Hayden and Eric spent the weekend playing like crazy!
Of course we had to put Shannon and DK to work - this time it was building a washer and dryer pedestal - and I LOVE it!!  Now, Eric can't reach all the fun buttons and dials on the front of the washer and dryer until he's old enough to actually do the laundry. I have a sneaking feeling that it won't be nearly as fun for him then. I'll be saying - see, look at all these fun buttons and knobs!!  Either way, now at least he won't be able to mix up all the washing and drying cycles - which I'd rather avoid but did make for very interesting laundry time!

Jacqi and I fit in an early morning hike with Anne and Cindy, and we biked the loop early one morning with Anne.  (Anne bikes the loop at like 500AM(!) so no pics of that!)

We always have a great time with the Norton family, and we're happy that we'll be able to catch up with them - and the rest of the fam - when we fly to Idaho next month!

Seattle with Friends

A couple of weekends ago we headed to Seattle to spend the weekend with friends (and get away from the smoke)!  Michelle and I worked at Watts Brothers together what seems like eons ago, and whenever we get together, it seems like no time has passed.
You could say that Michelle and I were the founding members of the "We're Ain't Never Going to Have Kids" club.  Funny thing is - we've both had kids now! So - we've both had our memberships revoked and we're both fine with that. Neither of us can even imagine life without our little, adorable precious boys.

Eric absolutely loves animals, so he had a great time at the zoo. When the big grizzly bear got close to the window, all the kids started screaming and ran away from the window. Eric started screaming too, but he was the only kid running to the window to get closer to the huge bear. It's really starting to look like he might be a bit of a daredevil - heaven help us!

Thanks for the super fun time, Orr Family - let's plan our next visit soon!

42 Years Old!?

Yep, I'm 42!  I had a super fun birthday weekend, and we were even lucky enough to be treated with a visit by Darin's parents - Jerry and Carolyn.  Like everyone else in Wenatchee, we headed the hell out of town and for us, it was my new favorite place - North Bend!  I love me some GAP outlet shopping!  Otherwise, we pretty much spent most of our time inside hanging out and trying to stay out of the darn smoke.  E had a super time playing with Grandma and Grandpa, and we can't wait to see them again soon!
